Las Vegas
After driving through the desert, we pulled into Vegas. The first thing I noticed was that everything is super kitschy, which ism sort of what I expected. Our hotel was awesome though. We stayed at the Bellagio. Our room had a fantastic view of the fountains and we watched them every time they went off. They’re conservatory was amazing too. So many cool flowers! The hotel also had a great pool. Or should I say 6 great pools. They were all heated and we had tons of fun swimming in them.
After dinner at the Shake Shack, we headed out on the strip. We were really living life n the edge. We got pictures with showgirls (grandma’s idea) and temporary tattoos (grandpa’s idea). I got a panda tattoo, Will got a cool design, Ben got a scorpion, Evie got a butterfly, and Mom got a badger. Sadly Mom stopped the crazy train at Jello-shots.
We walked a little farther to The Mirage. Their fake Venice was charming and makes me want to go to the real Italy. For the grand finale of the day we watched the volcano. We were a whole street away but I still felt the heat. It was a good end to the day.
