Capital Reef

You can’t go on a road trip around the U.S. without going to the red rocks of Utah, so we stopped at Capital Reef. We had already been to Arches, Canyonlands, and Zion so we wanted to see something new. The giant red rocks are amazing every time you look at them. And pictures just can’t capture how magnificent they are.

Our first hike was to see the arch Hickman Bridge. We got to see so many cool formations. Lots of little caves and arches that are still forming. And we saw lava rock that was carried over by glacier. The n we headed over to see some petroglyphs. That were all quite interesting.

To get to our next stop we had to drive 125 miles with no gas stations or cell service. I was so glad I got shotgun because the views were spectacular. The ride was filled with oohs and ahhs. Every view was better than the last. I just can’t express how spectacular the ride was. I really enjoyed our day in Utah.
