Yosemite

Today we got really lucky! Yosemite only opened the day we were there because of the smoke. Luckily it didn’t disrupt any of our views. Mom was even screaming from excitement! We got to see El Capitan, Half-Dome and Yosemite Falls no problem.

We unloaded the bikes and got going. This was a really entertaining bike ride. We enjoyed climbing on rocks and having no one else there. We really were in Yosemite by ourselves. Their signs suck though! We got on the wrong trail and it took us a while to realize that it was not for bikes. We also saw tons of wildlife. We spotted lots of deer, some very aggressive crows at lunch, and even a few bears. That’s right, bears! We saw a mama with three cubs, and one in a tree eating acorns. They were so cute! There was a ranger there keeping everyone safe and he said he saw two more the other direction. So overall there were 6 bears within 500ft of us.

When we got back to the campsite we thought for some reason that we needed to reroute the water. It took about an hour and a half but we did it.
